Domane is Trek’s endurance ready road bike. With models to suit every rider from budget to spec. With 3 ranges to choose from; Domane AL, Domane SL and Domane SLR. There really is something to suit every type of cyclist, from starter to seasoned cyclist.  In this spotlight blog we will explore the Domane AL and SL range.

Trek's Domane AL Range

The Domane AL range is the comfortable, affordable and versatile aluminium framed road bike offering from Trek. Domane AL comes with specific endurance geometry, Carbon Isospeed fork and clearance for wider tyres as standard. The Domane AL Disc is ideal for long days in the saddle- even on gravel! The frame is made of Trek’s lightweight Alpha Aluminium features internal cable routing keeping the cables hidden for more protection and a sleeker look. The Domane AL Disc frame is designed for endurance riding, with a shorter reach and taller headtube for maximum comfort for those long days in the saddle. Domane AL frame is equipped with mounts for racks, mudguards and up to 3 bottle cages perfect to prepare you for those long rides, to enable you to carry whatever you should need  on your adventure. The addition of disc brakes on disc models allow for additional tyre clearance,  meaning tyres of up to 35c to be fitted. The extra tyre width means that the Disc models are easy to control even off the tarmac, as well as that the additional stopping power from the disc brakes is a huge benefit on and off road. What’s more the Domane AL range is designed for cyclists of all genders. Built with a universal saddle as stock, Trek offers an exchange to a ladies specific saddle if you so wish completely free of charge.

Don’t just take it from us ! Below is a review from avid road cyclist Daniel Latchford about his Domane SLR 7 Project One.

"My Domane is an absolute joy to ride and has made me fall in love with road cycling again. The ride quality is superb, barely getting any road buzz even along Hertfordshire's most questionable road surfaces. The wide tyre clearance and built in suspension make for such a versatile bike, and the downtube storage is a helpful quality of life feature too! Couldn't recommend the bike enough and already dreading having to eventually go back to my winter bike!"- Daniel Latchford
